Movement for Wellness : Intro to Feldenkrais!


A six class intro to Feldenkrais; with foundational movements and a incredible pelvic floor exploration that will leave you feelings GODLY.

This series will be an introduction to Feldenkrais with foundational 6 Feldenkrais movement explorations created to help you move around the world as the best you there is!

Feldenkrais is an incredible movement practice which is based on the principle that becoming aware of how you move creates and reinforces neural pathways in your brain and throughout your nervous system which leads to you feeling more like yourself and sometimes ever better!

I will guide you through a very delicate and powerful exploration of how your head moves in space. The movements will reinforce the connection of your head, your spine and the pelvis. You will learn that leading the movement of your head, it actually your pelvis. Some positions will be seated on the floor, lying on your back, your stomach and a couple of times on the side.


You will gain:

– Strength in the pelvis and incredible pelvic floor experience.

– Awareness of the connection in the between your head and your pelvis… ITS YOUR SPINE!

– A deliciously free neck.

– A walk akin to a supermodel (because this stuff betters your posture).

Studio 414, located at 10 ave des Pins West, corner of St Laurent.

Starting Monday June 13th till July 18th.

Every Monday night at 6:55 PM (class starts at 7pm sharp) till 8pm.


About Awareness Through Movement

→ In these Awareness Through Movement classes, I verbally lead you through a sequence of movements in a variety of positions. These precisely structured movement explorations involve thinking, sensing, moving and feeling. By increasing awareness, you will learn to abandon habitual patterns of movement and develop new alternatives, resulting in improved flexibility and coordination, less pain, more comfort.

→ It helps counter anxiety by understanding the effect on the body. It really just makes you feel taller, more grounded and relaxed – and who doesn’t want that! Doing Feldenkrais is not only for chronic symptoms or pain, it’s also used to increase skill, to open yourself up to new ideas, find choice in absence, and secure proper and easy aging!

→ Many Awareness Through Movement lessons are based on developmental movements and ordinary functional activities (reaching, standing, lying to sitting, looking behind yourself, etc.). Some are based on more abstract explorations of joint, muscle, and postural relationships. Lessons are fully accessible to those with varying movement possibilities – because lessons can even work in the imagination. Sounds like magic because it is!! The magic of the brain!
