This series is a continuation of my last series called “Cultivating Awareness as a means for Learning, Growing and Thriving.”
In this series, we will continue our question from last series – what does it mean to be healed? Can you really heal and what is the standard of health In my perspective, health means to simply, at whatever point, be able to make a choice, make a change and continue growing.
The more I find myself growing, the more I find the three elements which allow me to thrive; length, width and integrity. Allowing myself to really connect to the length of my five lines, to the width of my shoulders, the space in my pelvis and of course the width of my smile gives me access to genuine Integrity. When I am invested in my own integrity, no matter what befalls me, I am able to make a choice and that choice will always be from a space of love rather than fear.
Do you know what I mean? I feel this connection between the ground, my spine and my smile that gives me this beautiful sense of light. I know when its there, and it know when its missing.
I also know what it feels like when its missing… I feel small, tight and outside of myself. Do you know what I mean?

The lessons will be based around movements of simple quiet rolling. As Moshe Feldenkrais so wonderfully puts it
“We do movements just to test ourselves if we are sleeping or are awake. That means to distinguish if we are able to pay attention, to do what we want or if something inside us, by itself does what it wants. In other words, we are trying to stop being machines, but rather to become something closer to being a human that has awareness, knows what they are doing, and does what they want, and not that it is done by itself and is what “it” wants. In other words, “it” is not “me”. ”
In my own words, Feldenkrais is not about movement or about improvement or anything like that… it about about learning about yourself and finding yourself more. And what better path to integrity than through exploring yourself?
"I loved how Andréa offered us different movement exercises that gave me a lot of insight on how I move through the world; even if we were on zoom, I could feel their presence and kindness. They were very generous in their teaching and support during and after classes. "
